Kingston & St.Andrew Resort Area

A capital city with a wonderfully picturesque backdrop of the Blue Mountain range. To its front is the world's 7th largest natural harbour. In between, this bustling modern city provides for a contrast of experiences compared to the other resorts. It’s a small city with a big atmosphere and a few days spent here is never enough.

Whether music is your thing or not, an afternoon visiting Bob Marley museum, Alpha Boys Yard, Trench Town Culture Yard and the Old Studio One, just cannot be missed.

When you are ready to snack, Devon House is never far away. Try the Jamaican version of the Cornish Pasty. They have made it their own and there truly is nothing else like it. Fancy something sweet, then go for some of the many flavours of their famous Devon House Ice scream.

Walk around Emancipation Park & National Heroes Park. Visit Kingston’s numerous galleries and museums to give you respite from the heat.  Decide what you fancy from the many eateries around the city.

There are some lovely hotels in great locations enabling you to walk to numerous places. Watch the cricket at Sabina Park, get excited by the athletics at the National Stadium or dance to the beat of a live music event down by the waterfront.

Just outside the city, you have the once named ‘wickedest city in the world’ where you can see the remnants of huge earthquakes and listen to stories or debauchery and high living in Port Royal. There are also many lovely beaches, mostly quiet and some you will get all to yourself.

This capital city is home to the University of the West Indies and these students from all over the Caribbean add to the diversity of cultures found in this city. As always, student life makes for a more lively city.

Venture off to see botanic gardens and coffee farms. So much to see and do in this fabulous area on the south coast of the eastern side of the island.
